We left for Saskatchewan on Thursday morning around 8:30 am. The drive was long, but very good!! I told my sister it was kind of relaxing, because I really didn't and couldn't do anything!! The kids were really good travellers. Blake talked pretty much the whole time, while reading books and playing with his trains and cars! On the way home he rode with my Mom and Dad from Tisdale to North Battleford. On the way there we stopped 2 times, in Lloyd and Saskatoon. I sat in the back with Blake and Emerson for about an hour before we stopped in Lloyd! She was getting hungry and needed some distraction!! We arrived at my grandparents house in Tisdale at 5 pm. Friday morning we headed out to Sylvania hall, where the reunion was being held. People started arriving Friday afternoon. It was a fun weekend! Everything went really good and the weather was beautiful! It was nice to visit with my cousins! I really wish we lived closer to eachother :( Blake had fun too! We were pretty tired by Sunday though. Both the kids woke up super early Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning. And of course, Cal and I went to bed pretty late!! Sunday afternoon we went back to my grandparents house in Tisdale. Monday morning we left for home. We stopped in Saskatoon, North Battleford and Lloyd. We visited with my Grandma Kelley in North Battleford. Once again, I sat with Em for about an hour before we stopped in Lloyd! We could stop anywhere for me to feed her, but didn't want to stop on the side of the road and then have to stop again for gas a 1/2 hour later!! Cal picked Heidi up after the kids went to bed last night. She seems very tired! I bet she was busy with all the other dogs!!! So, it was a great little holiday and we're glad to know that Em is as good of a traveller as Blake :)
The forecast for the rest of the week is HOT!! We don't have too many concrete plans. I might take the kids to the Capital Ex fair grounds one afternoon this week. Cal and Blake have swimming Wednesday night (they missed yesterday's class). Thursday morning, we have a playdate with Stacey, Alana and Parker. Saturday is our friend Rick's annual horse shoe tourney and birthday bash! I'm going to take the kids to the party after their afternoon nap. We're going to stay for supper and then I'll bring them back home for bed time. My parents are going to watch them for us, so I can go back to the party! Cal and I also hope to finish up the fence painting this week.
Have a great week everyone :) Enjoy the sun!

5 Months Old Tomorrow!
Yes, Emerson will be 5 months old tomorrow!! Very hard for us to believe! I took her to the health unit today for a weigh and measure. She weighed in at 14 lbs 6 3/4 ounces and was 60.5 cm long (I think that's around 24"). So she's doing great, growing as she should be! I seriously feel like I've blinked and 5 months have past by. I just can not believe she's almost 1/2 year old!!? Boy oh boy! She continues to do great! Blake was a fantastic sleeper, but Emerson is just unbelievable!! Blake slept 12-13 hours a night, with 1-2 feedings. But we really can't get over how Emerson goes to bed and that's it for the night! 95% of the time we don't hear a peep from her. She doesn't wake up to eat, doesn't cry, just goes to sleep and that's all! If Blake would have done that I probably would have been super worried and gotten up 2 or 3 times a night to check him!!! Second time around is a bit different ... when I go to bed I crash and don't move until I hear one of them! In hindsight though, I think Blake may have not needed those night time feedings for the first few months if I would have fed him on both sides. If he fell asleep I didn't wake him to eat on the other side as I do with Emerson. She, like Blake, does need her sleep though. If we keep her up at a time she "should" be sleeping or we keep her up too late, it's not a pretty sight! She certainly lets us know that she is not happy!!! We're enjoying how she is getting more and more active each day. She's now at the stage where everything goes into her mouth, most especially her hands! We can see a couple of teeth under her gums and she's drooling like crazy!! She gets quite a kick out of Heidi and Jazz! If she catches sight of them, she smiles and follows them with her eyes! I try to let her pet them too, which I think she likes! She turns right onto her side, from her back, and looks like she's about to roll over! The first time she rolls from her back to her tummy, may be her last for awhile, because she really does not like being on her tummy! We're trying hard to give her more tummy time! She's starting to push off the ground with her feet in her Jumperoo. Blake seems to think she should be in there a lot more! He's always saying, "Mom, put Em in Jumpoo!" Her big open mouthed grin is so adorable, I just want to eat her up!!! LOL!
Blake's been surprising us these past few weeks with his song sing abilities!! At night time I always rock him and sing him a few lullabies, and he now sings along with me! It's good his head is resting on my shoulder, because I have a hard time keeping a straight face and he gets mad when I laugh! I'm just laughing because he's so darn cute, but he doesn't understand that!! Some of his favorite songs to sing are, Bringing Home My Baby Bumblebee, Wheels on the Bus, You are My Sunshine, Down in the Valley, and the ABC's! He's getting very good with the ABC's and especially enjoys belting out, "Next time won't you sing with me!!!!" I can't remember if I mentioned this before, but he's also saying I love you. It melts you heart! "I love you Mom, I love you Dad!" Or sometimes he'll say I love you too or if I say I love you so much Blake, he'll say I love you so much Mom! One night he was listing off the people he loves - I wuv Mom, I wuv Dad, I wuv Heidi, I wuv Jazz, I wuv Em, I wuv Bamma, I wuv Bampa, I wuv Auntie, I wuv Uncle, and then he says, I wuv D-Don and pauses and giggles and says Noooo!!! So I said, "No? D-Don is just a good friend?" And he said, "Yep!" LOL! He's still doing great with Emerson. We don't have to worry at all about him being gentle with her. He often "pets" her head ever so softly! I love when I see him doing it out of the corner of my eye :) He'll often push her around the kitchen in her bouncy chair! He says he's giving Em a ride. He also has to say goodnight to her every night. He was very upset a few nights ago when he didn't get to say goodnight! If she's eating, he'll just blow her a kiss and hug her legs, but if she's not eating he gives her a hug and a kiss on the cheek. It is so sweet!!!
So the Kenny Chesney concert last Thursday was AMAZING!!! He is such a great performer and every song was awesome! I'm so glad I got a ticket for Mother's Day :D The kids and Cal did great! Em woke up once, but fell back asleep quickly and of course Blake and Cal had fun! Thank goodness my husband is so fantastic!!! I know it was a bit stressful for him, wondering what might happen if Emerson woke up and wouldn't take a bottle, but thankfully we didn't have to worry about that!
Cal, Emerson and I attended a wedding on Saturday. The ceremony was held at the bride's parents farm, just outside of Drayton Valley. It was a gorgeous location! We had a lot of fun catching up with friends we hadn't seen in awhile (since Cal's I&R work days). Emerson did pretty good. She was in party mode though - didn't sleep much at all! But she slept in Sunday morning, so that was good! Blake had fun at Grandma and Grandpa D's! He did really well in his new bed and as always is continuously asking to go back!!
Sunday afternoon we went over to Gerry, Lesley and Colby's for a visit. The boys had fun playing in Colby's ginormous play room downstairs!! Blake wanted to be in control of all the toys, but Colby didn't seem to mind too much :) They had fun and played well together!
Cal was off Monday and we all went to Servus Centre in the morning for the Aquababies class. Em and I had fun in the water, while Cal and Blake watched. We thought Blake might want to go play in the drop-in childcare, but nope! He was quite ticked when we suggested it!!
Last night we did some more painting. 2 more nights and the fence is D-O-N-E ... DONE!! Deck next ...
The kids and I dropped Heidi off at the kennel this morning, which we jokingly refer to as the "all inclusive resort!" The owner used to work with Cal. I saw it for the first time today, and it is really nice. Close to home too, which is a bonus! The dogs even get t.v. and movie time with Matt (the owner)!! Big screen t.v. and leather couches, can you imagine?! She won't want to come home!!!! We booked her in for our Vegas trip too!
Tomorrow morning we are leaving for Tisdale, Saskatchewan. Woot, woot!! We're staying the night at my grandparents house and then heading to Sylvania hall for the reunion on Friday. We're looking forward to seeing many relatives and having a great Smith reunion!
Have a fantastic rest of your week and weekend! Happy hump day :)

Little Miss Chatty!!!
I've begged for rain for a month straight, it has finally arrived, and now I'd like it to go away!! I think we have enough to last us for a week or so?! Our grass is green, our flower beds are beautiful, and hopefully the farmer's fields are happy!!
We had a great weekend! Lindsay and Jeremy were home. They spent the night on Thursday, so Blake was very happy to see Uncle Jeremy on Friday morning! He's always asking about Jeremy, it's quite cute! We had a fun day with my Mom and Lindsay on Friday, went for dinner with the whole crew Friday evening and then I went to My Sister's Keeper with Mom and Linds Friday night. It was a very, very, very sad movie! But pretty good! It didn't follow the book completely, but they still managed to do a good job. On Saturday we went to Stony for a BBQ and Blake had a look at his new bed at Grandma and Grandpa's! Monday was our first Aquababies class. Emerson and I enjoyed the class. My legs were actually sore on Tuesday! The kids and I met Lesley and Colby on Wednesday. We visited E-children and then went for lunch. It was nice to see them and catch up!! After lunch Blake asked about a trillion times, "What's Auntie Lesley and Colby doing?"!
So getting back to the title of the blog, Emerson is a little chatterbox these days! Recently she's began whole conversations with her hands! LOL! She stares at her hand and "talks" to it! So funny!!! She's also recognized her feet and enjoys kicking them up and catching a glance of her pretty lil' toes! Maybe I'll have to paint them for her :) She's rocking a lot on her back and has turned onto her side, but hasn't rolled over yet. I must admit we've been a bit negligent with tummy time. We're trying to remember to put her on her tummy for a little bit each day, but pretty much the only time we can do that is right when she wakes up. Otherwise she spits up tons!! Dr. Radisic said that when she starts eating solids, the reflux will most likely settle down. She'll be 5 months next week, so 1 more month and then we'll start rice cereal. Where is the time going??!
I took Blake to his swimming lessons on Wednesday and was quite surprised at how brave he is now! He loves jumping off the side of the pool into the water and puts his all into it! Last time I took him to a lesson I held his hands and he gingerly "jumped" into the pool, so I noticed quite a change. Blake is such a man of routine, it's quite funny. At the pool he was annoyed with me. I guess I didn't follow the usual routine Cal does when he takes him to swimming lessons! I didn't take him in the hot tub before or after swimming lessons, I tried to get him to lay down to put his diaper on (apparently he stands on the bench) and I only gave him 1 snack! He is definitely a "place for everything and everything in it's place" kinda guy!! Hmmm ... wonder where he gets that from?! Blake's imagination is very vivid! The other morning when he woke up I went into his room and he told me there was a dinosaur in his bed?! I was worried he was going to start scaring himself seeing all these dinosaurs and bunnies all over the place, so I started acting like they are all friendly, cuddly dinosaurs and bunnies! But that morning he said it wasn't a friendly dinosaur, so I told him that if it wasn't friendly you can tell it to leave your bed!! Where does this imagination come from? I guess it's just part of growing up, but it's really amazing how it develops! Sometimes we have a very hard time not laughing at some of the things he tells us!
I'm going to the Taylor Swift/Kenny Chesney concert tonight!! I'm SO excited! It's going to be SO awesome!! Hopefully Emerson will be a good little girl for Cal :) Last night I went for a spray on tan. I was hoping to get one for Lindsay's wedding, so thought I'd try it out first. I'm not sure I'd do it again. I think I look a bit orangey! LOL!
This weekend Cal, Emerson and I are attending a wedding near Drayton Valley. Blake is going to hang out with Grandma and Grandpa and we're all going to stay overnight there Saturday night! Cal's off Monday, so we'll all be going to Aquababies! Wednesday evening we're taking Heidi to a kennel and Thursday morning we're leaving for Saskatchewan with the trailer behind us! I'm really looking forward to our family reunion. It's my Dad and his brothers, sisters, inlaws, etc. year to plan, so we'll be doing some work, but it will be lots of fun! Blake will have a blast running around with the other kids! We're back from the reunion Monday (20th) evening.
Have a great weekend everyone :)

Happy Canada Day!
We started out this morning bright and early! Cal was running in the Cops for Cancer Canada Day Road Race today, so he left the house at 6 am! The plan was for the kids and I to meet him at the finish line. I woke Blake up at 7:15 and we headed to the Alberta Legislature grounds. We got there around 8:00 and the grounds were already filling up! There was a free pancake breakfast, amongst other entertainment. It was a beautiful morning, so the kids and I strolled around the grounds and checked things out, then we headed over to the finish line. Cal crossed the line at 1 hour and 17 minutes! He was very happy with the run. I'm not up on all the "running lingo" but he will be posting more details on his blog later in the day (mylife-cal.blogspot.com). Later in the morning we met my parents for brunch and tonight we are having a BBQ!
Blake started another set of swimming lessons on Monday evening. This class is on Mondays and Wednesdays for 4 weeks. Cal said he had a lot of fun and especially loves jumping off the side of the pool and going down the slide!
It's a bit strange having a STAT holiday in the middle of the week! I keep thinking it's Friday! Tomorrow Blake, Emerson and I are heading to Servus Place. Em and I start our Aquababies class on Monday morning. During the class Blake will be playing at the drop-in childcare centre. So tomorrow we are visiting in hopes that on Monday he will not play shy!! I'm really looking forward to our Aquababies class! I took the class with Blake and we both really enjoyed it. I'm sure Emerson will love it too, as she loves being in the water! There is a Salsa Tots class starting next Tuesday that I am contemplating taking. It is geared towards families, so you can attend with your spouse and all your kids! But it's during the day, so it would be Blake, Emerson and I! Emerson would salsa in the wrap! I absolutely LOVED Salsa Babies with Blake, so hopefully this class will be as good!
My sister and Jeremy are staying over night tomorrow night, then on Friday the kids and I are hanging out with my Mom and Linds. Friday night we're going to take my Dad out for a Father's Day supper (he was in Alaska on Father's Day) and later in the evening my Mom, sister and I are going to a movie.
Cal continued the fence painting last night. We're getting there ... slowly but surely! What is done looks really good! Apparently we're expecting rain during the next 5 days, so we may have to take another hiatus!!
This week we've been busy planning our holiday time. Just trying to figure out where we're going! We think we've finally decided!! We are going to head to Jasper for the September long weekend with my parents and friends Erica, Dion and Danielle. Then on the Monday my parents, Cal, the kids and I are going to drive to the Shuswaps. On the Saturday Cal, the kids and I are going to drive to Okotoks and visit the Hrdlicka's, the Bezan's, and the Calgary zoo!! Cal has 2 weeks off, so we won't be in a hurry to head home! And by that time, Lindsey (Bezan) will hopefully have had her baby and I'll get to meet him when he's only a few days old!!! AND I'll get to see Candace's prego belly! LOL! Can't wait, it will be a great 2 weeks :)
Happy Canada Day everyone!

4 month immunizations
On Tuesday Emerson had her 4 month immunizations. It went quite well. She didn't cry for long. The only complaint I have is that the nurse did the 2 in one leg, waited for her to calm down and then did the last one in the other leg. I much prefer it when they just get them done back to back! I felt kind of bad for Emerson! She likely thought it was over only to be stuck again!! Her weight, height and head circumference haven't changed since her 4 month appointment. I can't believe she's 4 months old already! She's starting to not look so much like a baby anymore :( And she'll be starting solids within the next few months, which will make her seem even "older!" Wednesday Emerson had a funny day. She's teething already (Blake had his 1st tooth at 5 months), plus perhaps she was in some pain from the needles. She wasn't crying, more complaining! It was pretty funny! I love going into to get her in the morning. As soon as I put my face near hers she starts laughing and giggling and "talking!" It's the best!! Something else she likes is when I lean over her and my hair brushes across her face. She closes her eyes and giggles away!!! I try not to have the t.v. on much, because she's quite the t.v. nut - if the t.v. is on she's glued to it. She'll twist and turn any which way just to get an eye on it!!
Blake has been going to the potty a bit more the last few days. Even #2! I'm wondering if anyone has heard/knows from experience if it is a bad idea to not go full force on the potty training when they show some interest?? I'm wondering if we don't capitalize on this opportunity now, if he might give it up and then not do so well when we decide to train him?? I don't know why everyone always wants their kids potty trained - seems a lot easier just to change a diaper!? Blake continues to be hilarious and imaginative! He's at such a fun age!! But trying at times ... I need to work on my patience! LOL! He knows pretty much all of his colors now. Even white, silver, black and brown! Sometimes he surprises us with what he knows. The other day he got a Dr. Seuss ABC book from a friend of ours and I asked him where the "B" was and he pointed it out amongst a mixed up alphabet! We've been writing his name for him when we're coloring and I guess some of it has sank in! When we ask him how to spell his name he says, "B L, B L, B L!" Then giggles because we're giggling!! He can really put on a performance :)
Cal and I have been putting the kids to bed the last 3 nights and then heading outside to paint the fence until sundown. We're about 1/2 way done and absolutely exhausted!! So we're taking tonight off. It would be a lot easier if all we had was the simple fence, but whoever built this fence added lattice and trim to the top. I think it's taking twice the time due to the added parts!! Argh! But it does look really good when it's all painted nicely :)
It's been HOT here for quite awhile. We still haven't gotten any significant amount of rain and our grass is feeling the effects!! We've watered it a bit, but it's SO dry. I like a nice lawn, but I'm not going to spend that much time/$$ watering it every day! I really hope we get some rain SOON!!!
Talk to ya' later ;)

Happy Father's Day Cal!
Today is Father's Day and we'd like to wish all the wonderful Dad's out there a very happy day :) I always knew Cal would be a great Dad, but man is he ever GREAT!!! Actually that doesn't even describe it, but you know what I mean! He rocks!! We are very blessed indeed :) We enjoyed a nice dinner out with Cal this evening. There was a 1/2 hour wait at the restaurant, which didn't fit in with my feeding plans for Emerson, so we were expecting an unhappy baby during our meal! Thankfully she stayed asleep!! Blake told Cal repeatedly through out the day, "Happy Father's Day Dad!" I'm sure that in itself made Cal's day :) Blake's also started saying, "I love you Dad" and "I love you Mom," which is the best gift any parent could ever ask for!! He used to say it when prompted, but now it actually feels like it's coming from the heart! Couldn't ask for anything more sweet!!
Saturday was the first official day of summer :) On Friday we headed to Cross Lake Provincial Park. Cal came home early from work and we were set up in our campsite by 4 pm! The weather was gorgeous, but Blake was impatiently waiting for "the boys" and Brad and Julie to arrive! They got held up at home so were late arriving. We took turns taking Blake for walks and wagon rides to distract him. I think he thought we were lying to him - that they actually weren't coming!! LOL! He was SO excited for camping. I told him on Friday morning that we were going camping and that was his whole focus ALL day. I would say, "Blake it's time for lunch." And he'd say, "NO! I go camping!" And I'd say, "Yes Blake, we are going camping after we eat lunch, have a nap and Dad is home from work." And on and on we went!! "NO! I go camping!!" We definitely have a lil camper on our hands! He had an absolute blast this weekend. Just go, go, go, go, go! We spent some time on the beach, in the water, going for walks, going for bike rides, and playing in what Blake called the sand box at our campsites. We camped at this campground last May long weekend and really, really like it. The water is quite clear and the campsites are really nice. Both kids slept really, really well. Which is a huge relief for us! We tend to be sleep Natzi's (hate using that word, but not sure how else to describe it?!) and get stressed out when the kids don't have their regular naps, etc. Kinda anal I guess, but we've found that a well rested child means a happy child, a well rested family and a happy family!! Not sure I can say Em loves camping yet, as she pretty much behaves the same way she does at home, but I suppose that says she doesn't dislike it?! We are looking forward to our next trip, which is to Saskatchewan in the middle of July for our Smith family reunion. Should be a great time with all my cousins and their kids together! Blake will have a blast running around with all his little cousins!!
Blake had his last "My First Preschool" class on Wednesday for the Spring II semester. He's really gotten into it the past few weeks. He's now a "veteran" instead of a "rookie!" LOL! He really enjoys the crafts and the songs. We catch him singing some of the songs at home every now and then. Although we've learned not to mention it to him, because he gets shy and mad!! He wants to sing to himself I guess! It is SO adorable!! Today he was singing "Bringing Home My Baby Bumblebee!" And he was even doing the actions. I love it!!! His preschool teacher gave all the kids a certificate and a CD with their preschool songs on it as a gift. We'll be playing that every day I'm sure! We will enroll him in the fall semester when registration opens in August. My First Preschool is for ages 2-3 and then they move onto Fun Factory which is for ages 3-5. They have to be potty trained for Fun Factory and parents don't attend. And it's a 2 hour class. So hopefully we'll be able to move onto that class when he's 3! I'm pretty sure he'll be potty trained by then. We kind of think he may be able to be potty trained now if we had the time to devote to it. It works really well on Cal's days off, but when I'm alone with Blake and Em it's very hard to be with him in the bathroom, when Emerson needs feeding, changing, etc, etc. It would be fine if he just went and got up and that was it, but each visit to the potty is at least 20 minutes, if not more! One day he was on the potty for 1 hour! He loves seeing the final product in the pot, so dribbles a little and hops up and gets excited, gets hugs and high fives and flushes it down the toilet and uses his special soap to wash his hands and then we think he's done and nope ... sit back down and repeat the process!! We're glad he likes it though and for the time being we'll continue with the random visits and hopefully this fall we'll take a week or so to devote to a "potty training boot camp!!"
Emerson has her 4 month immunizations on Tuesday. Of course, I am not looking forward to that appointment, but on the other hand I know it's so much easier to have done when they're this little! I think she has grown a lot in the past couple of weeks, so it will be interesting to see what the scale says. Something she's started doing the past couple of weeks, is trying to sit up in her bouncy chair and in her car seat. It almost looks like she's doing a little sit-up!! LOL!
We are anxiously awaiting my parents arrival home next weekend! Blake is constantly asking to go to Bamma and Bampa's house. Seriously ... CONSTANTLY!!! And this weekend when he found out we were going camping, he thought we would see them there. Poor guy! But I think he does understand that they are on holidays and we will see them soon. He just has to check every day if this is the day! And he sees Bampa's truck everywhere! We'll see a white truck and he thinks it's Grandpa's! We told him that they visited the North Pole where Santa Claus lives and the look on his face was hilarious! He looked a bit confused and surprised all at the same time!! He will be very excited to see them after their 3 week holiday.
Have a great week everyone!

Feelin' HOT, HOT, HOT!!!
Finally ... HOT weather!! Yay! It has been absolutely gorgeous here the last few days :) But I feel a bit like a farmer for saying this ... we need rain! All I'm asking for is rain while we are sleeping. Not during the day! Is that being a bit too picky?! LOL! We've been spending tons of time outside, soaking up the sun! Blake's in heaven!! We've been bathing him in sunscreen though. He's so fair, like his Dad.
My sister was in town this weekend and the kids and I spent Friday with her. We went swimming in the morning, Em's first time in the pool, went for sushi for lunch (yummy, yummy) and then hung out outside after the kids naps (which were short on Friday for some reason). It was a fun day!! Thank goodness Lindsay was with me at the pool! I definitely wouldn't be taking a 3 month old and a 2 yr old to the pool by myself!! Emerson loved the water and looked very cute in her lil' swimsuit :) Thank goodness she didn't make a mess in the pool ... I couldn't find a little swimmer smaller enough for her! Don't worry, I did put a big one on her! I keep looking for the reusable swim diapers, but can never find them in the sizes I need. I do re-wash the little swimmers if I can!
Saturday morning we played outside and put the kids down for an early nap, because we had a first birthday party to attend in Stony Plain and it started at 2:30. We ended up waking Blake up because we didn't want to be really, really late! The party was a lot of fun!! Blake enjoyed playing outside and with the other kids, opening presents, eating cake and bugging "D-Don" (Dion, Danielle's dad!)!! He has been so excited for this birthday party. We told him a couple of weeks ago that we were going to Danielle's birthday party and he's been talking about it non-stop!
This morning we washed the trailer and the car, which involved Blake getting SOAKED!! He is very helpful :) I do it Mom, I do it Dad, Dad I do it, etc, etc, etc! We were invited to a wedding BBQ this afternoon (friend of Cal's who got married in Mexico in March), but did not go. We figured the kids were pretty tired from a later night last night. And we were right! Blake napped for 3 hours and Emerson for 4 hours!!! And still to bed at their regular times tonight! After Blake woke up from his nap we headed back outside. He loves playing in the yard, especially in his sandbox. Cal is off tomorrow too and if it doesn't rain we are going to the spray park.
Tonight at dinner we asked Blake what he wanted to be for Halloween this year and he replied, "A BIG carrot!!" Can you imagine!!? Good thing I didn't have food or drink in my mouth ... I laughed SO hard!! Cal asked him what Em should be and he said, "A BIG broccoli!" He loves his veggies, but seriously! Cal's Mom is a great seamstress, perhaps we'll ask her to sew them some costumes!! NOT! He CRACKS us up!! He's so funny! And he knows it ... which just fuels the fire! LOL! We are happy that he has finally decided that short sleeves and short pants are okay to wear. For the longest time he always had to have long sleeves and long pants on. But now he has to wear "hort" pants all the time!! He has his last My First Preschool class on Wednesday. We will register him again in September. He's really enjoyed the class, as have I! Thursday is his last swimming lesson too, but we've already registered him for the next session which starts in 2 weeks. He'll be going Mondays and Wednesday for 4 weeks.
We were just looking through some old pictures of Blake when he was 4 months old and boy does Emerson ever look like Blake did at 4 months!! Only Blake was A LOT bigger!!! She looks so tiny compared to him at 4 months! It was funny, because I looked at his 5 month pictures too and there was one of him chewing on a carrot!! He got his first tooth at 5 months, so it probably felt good! We started Blake on rice cereal at just over 4 months, so he was eating quite a bit earlier than Em will be. She's enjoying her Bumbo chair every day now and starting to reach and grab for things. And her hand is in her mouth ALL the time! Not sucking on her thumb, just at that age where the hand is in the mouth more often then not! She's taking a bottle really good, so we'll keep offering one to her every couple of days. I dressed her up for the birthday party on Saturday in a cute little dress, with a barrette in her hair, and her pretty bracelet from Grandma D! She looked so adorable!
In the last blog post I mentioned that I needed to visit the optometrist, the salon and the dentist and in the last few days I've almost done all three!! I took the kids to the optometrist on Tuesday and got a new prescription and new glasses!! I'm not too sure about the glasses, they seem too big on my face. I have 30 days to exchange them, so I'll give them a few more weeks and decide. On Saturday I got my hair cut and tomorrow I'm going to call my dentist and see if I can get in! Phew!!
Hope everyone is enjoying the sun! Have a great week ;)
